Dr. Mary Jackson School is tucked away in the hamlet of Keg River, Alberta, which is located on the original site of the Slavey and Cree Indian summer camp. Our school is named after the world famous pioneer doctor, Dr. Mary Jackson, the doctor on horseback, who came to the community in 1931 and practiced medicine out of her farm house until 1975.
